We invite companies and institutions to participate in Delta Career Day

The University of Tartu's biggest career expo – Delta Career Day – will be held for the sixth time on 28 February 2024. On that day, the university's sports hall turns into a lively exhibition venue where companies can showcase their traineeship and career opportunities. Organisations are welcome to register for the event until 29 January.

The University of Tartu Delta Career Day brings together employers and students of the Institute of Computer Science, the Institute of Mathematics and Statistics, the School of Economics and Business Administration and the Institute of Technology. At the event, companies can offer traineeship placements and promote job opportunities, and build their reputation as an employer. Students can get an idea of which companies are looking for employees, where to find a good traineeship placement and where they might work in the future.

According to Heisi Kurig, Head of the University of Tartu Institute of Computer Science, enterprises can meet lots of young talent at the Delta Career Day. "This is a good opportunity for companies to show themselves, meet students and make initial agreements for cooperation that would allow trainees and jobseekers to complete their studies," said Kurig.

This year again companies have the chance to participate in the Career Day live studio, where the moderator will help companies present their traineeship and career opportunities. The live studio sessions will be broadcast online and on screens in the sports hall; the recordings will also be available after the event. On the Delta Career Day, we will also have an expo game during which students look for answers to questions given by companies and institutions. This is an excellent opportunity to encourage students to visit your booth and share information about yourself.

In the previous years, 55 enterprises have participated in the Delta Career Day. Based on experience, more than 700 students can be expected to take part in the event.

The Delta Career Day is organised by the University of Tartu institutes operating in the Delta centre: the Institute of Computer Science, the Institute of Mathematics and Statistics, the School of Economics and Business Administration and the Institute of Technology,
